Help & FAQ

If you are having difficulties downloading or streaming your free AudioChristian files then please read the following suggestions before contacting us.

What is downloading / streaming?

They are much the same. Basically when you click on an Audio Christian file with your left mouse button, it will try to stream the file. When a file is 'streaming' it is loading into your windows media player from the internet and playing at the same time.

If you click with your right mouse button instead, you will see a small options popup toolbar appear - select "Save Target As..". Now your computer will ask you if you wish to download the file to your computer.

Directly downloading the file like this will mean that you can't listen to the file until it has fully downloaded to your computer. However, once it is downloaded you can listen to it anytime you want from your own computer! You won't have to be on the interenet to listen! It's yours, and its free in Christ!

What do I need to hear the audio?

1. Speakers / Headphones. This may seem obvious, but believe me - it's easy to forget to turn these on! Remember to set your volume!

2. Windows Media Player. This is the standard windows multimedia player. All Audio Christian files are 'wma' files - designed to specifically work with Microsoft's Media Player. The chances are that you already have this program on your computer. It is used to play video as well as audio files. You can get Windows Media Player for your system here.

The "Save Target As" menu option is disabled when I try to download.

The "Content Advisor" is probably disabled on your browser (Internet Explorer 4.0 and later versions). The "Content Advisor" (in Tools/Options/Content) disables the "Save Target As..." menu option. You can always reset the Content Advisor settings again if you wish to.

I can download, but not stream.

Your browser's cache (Temporary Internet Files) might be full. In Internet Explorer, go to "Tools/Internet Options", and just select the "Delete Files" button. Also different browsers react different ways to streaming depending on their settings. Mozilla Firefox users may have to download files before listening to them, depending on the browser settings.

Do you do mp3 files?

Not yet, but soon - depending on demand and resources (sorry linux users). You can always contact us for more details.
